Our poison dart frogs are some of the most beautiful animals in the world, if we do say so ourselves! Known for their bright colors, these adorable little guys will just capture your heart. In the wild, they get their toxin from the ants that they eat. Since they are fed fruit flies here at the Zoo, our residents are not poisonous!
There are several different species of poison dart frogs, varying in color. They live iCentral and South America on the floor of rainforests. They prefer areas with small pools or streams, where the tadpoles mature.
