Zoofari: Spring Explorers
This spring, empower your child to become a scientist of the natural world at the Staten Island Zoo’s Spring Explorers day camp! Designed around student-led, play-based learning, this program encourages young adventurers to ask questions, make discoveries, and build a deeper understanding of the vibrant world around them.
Campers will investigate spring’s natural cycles—like weather changes, migrating animals, pollinators at work, and plants in bloom—through hands-on exploration, outdoor adventures, and up-close animal encounters. Guided by experienced educators, kids will take the lead in their learning, using observation, experimentation, and creative problem-solving to uncover how plants and animals thrive during this season of growth and renewal.
The program also incorporates STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) and creative arts projects to nurture discovery and creativity. From designing pollinator-friendly habitats to creating crafts inspired by springtime wildlife, campers will connect science with imagination in meaningful and playful ways.

This is a drop off program and we ask that children bring a non-perishable bag lunch. There is no refrigeration at the Zoo for lunches.
