The Staten Island Zoo is pleased to offer after school programming for students in grades Pre-K through third grade! Participants will enjoy animal meet-n-greets, outdoor exploration, nature play, behind-the-scenes tours, arts and crafts, games, and more! While the activities will take place outdoors as much as possible (weather permitting), groups will use our spacious auditorium and solarium as their “home base”.
Programming will take place every Wednesday, and Thursday from 2:30pm - 4:30pm.
Registration is per day.
Pricing: $30 for members, $35 for non-members per day.
Drop off and pick up will be conducted using a drive-up method at the Broadway entrance, located at 614 Broadway. Drop-off will begin at 2:15pm.
Temperature checks will be taken at drop-off. If your child reads over 100.4 Fo, we will ask that you wait about 10 minutes before rechecking.
Zoofari staff and participants must wear a mask during the Zoofari program and on zoo grounds. There will be a mask break for snack (provided by the Zoo) and short mask breaks periodically throughout the session.
The Staten Island Zoo follows and adheres to all state, city, and CDC safety guidelines with regard to all of our education programs. Please see our website for a complete listing of our COVID-19 policies.
Closed-toed shoes are required and sneakers are highly recommended.
If you child uses an epi-pen, you can give it to the counselor with your child’s name clearly printed on the package.
