Lewis lives in the middle of the Zoo, where you can see him from above and below the water! Like most otters, our guy loves to snack on fish. He spends his days swimming in his pool and through his firehose curtain, before relaxing with a nap in his log!
North American River Otters live throughout Canada and the United States, in freshwater and coastal marine habitats, such as rivers, lakes, marshes, swamps, and estuaries. They are tolerant to a variety of environments, including cold and warm latitudes, and high elevations. North American River Otters are listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.
