Symbolically adopt our Beehives!

We are super proud of our super pollinators!  We have three hives--our yellow hive is ruled by Queen Eliza-Bee; our green hive ruled by Queen Bee-Yonce; and our newest purple hive ruled by Queen Ruth Bee-der Ginsburg.  One of our newest exhibits, these special insects came to us two years ago with the help of The Honeybee Conservancy.  Starting in the spring, they work hard through the early fall making honey.  Their extra special honey is sweet, and some of the darkest our beekeepers have every seen!

Honeybees are an important part of our daily lives.  One in every three bites of food we take was pollinated by bees!  There are more than 20,000 species of bees in the world, and 4,000 species native to North America.  Unfortunately, about 1 in 4 of these species is endangered.  But with our help--and yours!--we can help protect these tiny superheroes!
